The Dalhousie men’s soccer team kicked off its season Saturday with a 1 – 0 loss to the UPEI Panthers.

Despite promising offensive spells and good efforts from rookies Bezick Evraire and Mark Hagen, the Tigers failed to score. While team defence was strong for the most part, the team suffered two or three lapses, which was enough for a player with the skill of Jarrod Murphy to find the net midway through the second half.

“I thought we had chances to win the game and we didn’t take them,” said Tigers head coach Pat Nearing. “But I think we adapted well and we matched their intensity.”
