City rivals Dalhousie and Saint Mary’s played to a scoreless 90 minutes Oct. 21 as both teams were unable to capitalize and gain the upper hand. The lack of scoring was a product of safe play on both sides, rather than a testament to the less than spectacular defence.

The tie brought both teams to 22 points in the AUS standings, and with a UPEI victory on Saturday against Memorial they both remain tied for second place—but now five points back. Saint Mary’s has played one less game so they have an extra opportunity to pull ahead of the Tigers.

The two teams meet again Wednesday, Oct. 26 at Huskies Stadium.

For an extended recap of the game, check the Oct. 28 edition of the Dalhousie Gazette.

Hailing from Saint John, Andrew followed his frosh leader to a Gazette contributor's meeting in his first week at Dalhousie and didn't look back. He took on the women's soccer beat, attending games at Wickwire no matter the weather and watching the webcast whenever the Tigers were on a different pitch. He does not claim any responsibility for the Tigers winning the league championship during his first season covering the team.
