Ellie Garry-Jones, Staff Writer

Ellie is entering her fourth year of studies at Dalhousie University, where she double-majors in English Literature and Law, Justice, and Society with a minor in Journalism at the University of King's College. Despite her interest in John Steinbeck's novels and the rule of law, her true passion rests in writing about music and film.

This is Ellie's third year as a staff writer for the Gazette where she contributes most often to the arts and culture section, with the occasional dabble in an op-ed. Ellie covers everything between local musician profiles to feature stories on Halifax's most beloved bars to commentary on nipples, yes nipples.

When she's not buried in a book, she's got her wired headphones in, chasing Halifax's next big thing in hopes to become the next Cameron Crowe.
