The desks are back.

Exam season has returned, and with it nearly 2,000 desks have once again lined the floor of the Dalplex fieldhouse for students writing their fall semester exams.

The exam period began yesterday and runs until Dec. 16.

In the law faculty, first-year students will complete their exams by Dec. 18. Second and third-year students are finished by Dec. 20.

The majority of classes on Dalhousie’s Halifax campuses hold exams in the Dalplex, but other venues include the McCain Building, Sir James Dunn Building, Mona Campbell Building and the McInnes Room in the Student Union Building. Exams are also written in the Sexton Gym and at the University of King’s College.

University buildings will be closed from Dec. 24 to Jan. 1 for the holiday.

The next semester begins on Monday, Jan. 6, 2014.
