Sports LogoFourth quarter climb leads Tigers

The Tigers basketball team saved their best for the fourth quarter.

Dalhousie turned a shoddy third quarter, wherein they were overwhelmed 21 – 9, into a tight victory, pulling themselves from out of a nine point deficit after 30 minutes into a 83 – 77 triumph against St. FX Nov. 12 at the Dalplex.

The win presents the Tigers with their second victory of the season, whereas the X-Women now sit at 1 – 1.

The Tigers got rolling as soon as the final quarter began, draining three-pointers with ease. Keisha Brown had one, while Rachael Harrison had two more from behind the arc, including the bucket that relinquished the lead to the black and gold. Dal would maintain their advantage, thanks to their defence which improved as the game wore on.

Brown led the Tigers with 19 points. Danisha Young was the top X-Women on the scoresheet, scoring 23.
