After two unanswered goals to bring the game to overtime, Dalhousie could not cap their first game after the holiday break with the result they wanted.

Janie Leblanc’s point shot 3:20 into the extra frame stopped Dal’s comeback attempt in its tracks Jan. 7, propelling Moncton to a 4 – 3 victory over the Tigers at Memorial Arena.

The overtime period was only required after Dal’s leading scorer Jocelyn Leblanc potted her 12th of the season with 44 seconds remaining in regulation. Fielding Montgomery began the comeback for the Tigers late in the second period to close the gap to 3 – 2.

Kathy Desjardins turned aside 20 shots for the league-leading Aigles Bleus. Britanny McMacken stopped 17 at the other end of the rink.
