Set in 1966 Midwest “bible belt” America, The Rimers of Eldritch explores the intrigues to be found in many a small town: gossip, church politics, aimless drifters, and young love. And something more – a possible murder and a trial. What’s happened, or is about to happen, in Eldritch?
This Off-Broadway success and winner of the Vernon Rice Award is directed by the Fountain School’s Rob McClure, who uses intricate lighting cues and a series of platforms to move the story back and forth in time. As the town faces its unpleasant secrets, you can almost feel the lingering coal dust in the air.
