Thumping to St. FX doesn’t help Dal’s fortunes

The St. FX X-Men scored early and often Nov. 4 as they defeated Dalhousie’s men’s hockey team 7 – 2.

After surrendering three goals in the first period the Tigers were unable to bounce back, conceding four more tallies in the defeat. It was the team’s fourth consecutive loss.

Scott Brannon and Brett Morrison added two goals in the second to build St. FX’s lead to 5 – 0. Dal forward Francois Gauthier capitalized on the power play 1:34 into the third to finally get the Tigers on the board, but the X-Men responded with a goal of their own three minutes later to keep the deficit at five.

For an extended recap of the game, check the Nov. 11 edition of the Dalhousie Gazette.
