The Chemical Storage Facility on Studley campus was evacuated Thursday afternoon due to an accidental chemical spill.
Dalhousie University spokesperson Charles Crosby says a flammable solvent container, which was knocked off of its shelf, caused the spill. The building was closed for an estimated hour and a half as fire crews contained the mess. The building was reopened before 3 p.m.
The Chemical Storage Facility is at the northern end of the MacDonald Building, the chemistry facility west of the Killam Library.
