What hoop shoes are Dal Tigers basketball players wearing?

The shoes a basketball player wears defines their personal style on the court.

Being one of the only game-time items a hooper has the power to choose, every pair of hoop shoes reflects a player’s personality and style, with many showcasing flashy colours and designs.

Players on Dalhousie University’s men’s and women’s basketball teams wore these shoes at recent games.

Nike A’One

These Nike hoop shoes add flair to a player’s game, with layers of black, orange and yellow. They are a signature shoe from WNBA player A’ja Wilson. The colours starkly contrast each other, and look like a fire at night.

Nike Sabrina 3 “Gamer”

WNBA star Sabrina Ionescu’s third Nike signature shoe pays homage to the virtual world. The kicks bring shades of green, paired with black and metallic silver, to the court. The inside of the tongue is purple, contrasting with the shoe’s green exterior.

Nike KD 17 “Christmas Pack”

This shoe, the Nike KD 17 “Christmas Pack” showcases a winter-themed design, including a “cracked ice” graphic on the side near the swoosh. Blue and white make the shoe look like ice itself, bringing a chill to the court.

Nike G.T. Cut 3

The contrast between black and yellow makes these shoes almost look gold, with multiple shades of yellow creating depth and variety. The G.T. Cut 3 has become a staple in the basketball sneaker world; it was the third-most-worn shoe in the NBA last season.
