After defeat to UPEI on Saturday, the Tigers women’s soccer team continued their weekend at home with a one-sided match Sunday against the Mount Allison Mounties. The Tigers were victorious, winning 4 – 0.

Proving that Dalhousie can actually keep shots on net—as opposed to Saturday’s game—the Tigers were constantly on the offensive with many impressive scoring chances on a lacklustre Mounties defence.

Joanna Blodgett, Rieka Santilli, Megan Willox and Doriana Homerski scored the Tigers goals in what was an impressive offensive outing by Dal.

Mount Allison also sits 1 – 1 in the standings after the weekend following their 1 – 0 triumph against Moncton on Saturday.

Hailing from Saint John, Andrew followed his frosh leader to a Gazette contributor's meeting in his first week at Dalhousie and didn't look back. He took on the women's soccer beat, attending games at Wickwire no matter the weather and watching the webcast whenever the Tigers were on a different pitch. He does not claim any responsibility for the Tigers winning the league championship during his first season covering the team.
